Project Architect

A well-established architecture and interior design firm on Long Island is seeking Project Architects with 10+ years of experience to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to lead projects from concept through construction while working on a diverse portfolio that includes education, libraries, municipal/public works, multifamily residential, commercial, hospitality, and interior architecture. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on architect who enjoys balancing technical execution, project coordination, and client interaction within a collaborative studio environment. Responsibilities Lead projects through all phases, from schematic design through construction administration Produce and coordinate permit and construction document sets Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies Manage NYS permitting processes (NYSED experience preferred) Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals Conduct site visits, construction meetings, and field observations Perform QA/QC reviews and redline project documentation Research materials and coordinate with product vendors Mentor and collaborate with project team members throughout the design process Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture (or related field) 10+ years of professional architectural experience Experience managing projects from concept through construction Strong construction documentation and detailing experience Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit Knowledge of NYS Building Codes and ADA requirements Experience with NYSED permitting is a plus Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment Why Consider This Opportunity?
