Freelance Environment Artist

To support the creation of immersive animated worlds, the Freelance Environment Artist will design and build modular and bespoke environment assets in a remote, contracted-to-full-time role, utilizing Unreal Engine to bring various art styles to life. Key responsibilities Create large-scale modular sets and intricate environment assets for animated productions Model and texture environment assets to production quality for use in Unreal Engine Collaborate with the art team to achieve the desired visual style and optimize existing assets Required qualifications Strong experience with procedural and modular 3D environment asset creation for Unreal Engine Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, including scene assembly and asset integration Experience with environment texturing using Substance Painter or similar software Proficiency in Maya or Blender for modeling detailed environment assets Strong understanding of topology, UV mapping, and optimization for real-time environments
