Must-Have: Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) level nursing.
Description: This is a flagship hospital and licensed for 815 beds. Named as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals from 2020-2023. Recognized for achievements in patient safety and providing safer healthcare. Earned Magnet Designation in November 2020 for nursing excellence. Serves as a referral center for trauma, stroke, and neonatal intensive care. Provides open heart and interventional cardiology services. The unit has a total of 40 beds with patient ratios of 1:5 for Step-Down and 1:6 for MedSurg. A well-rounded background will be instrumental due to the variety of patient diagnoses. Charge Nurse experience is appreciated. Minimal bedside procedures are performed due to the environment. Patient safety and care are the highest priority. Nurses are expected to float to other units within their skill set as needed. Team members typically have opportunities for extensions on assignments due to job satisfaction. New technology and initiatives are in place to enhance patient throughput and care. Staff may have additional opportunities to work in specialized roles within the organization.
