Yard Manager

Job Details: Location: Fairfield, NE 68938; Position Type: Full Time; Shift: Day; Job Category: Service; Education Level: Not Specified. The Yard Manager is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance, organized and safe dealership lot. The role coordinates with LandMark Transport to load and unload equipment per safety policies, supports all departments, including parts delivery and Service. The Yard Manager ensures lot cleanliness, handles equipment operation, and performs property upkeep. Responsibilities Organize and inventory the lot, ensuring a safe working environment for customers and employees. Assist LandMark Transport with unloading and loading equipment according to safety policies. Maintain a neat and clean yard at all times, including mowing lawns, trimming weeds, and general cleanup. Perform snow and ice removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways. Operate snowblower or snowplow to clear roads, driveways, and parking lots. Conduct light maintenance and upkeep of the property. Operate equipment such as skid loaders, excavators, dozers, forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts to transport parts, equipment, and supplies. Assist with maintenance and repair of road surfaces. Supply Service Technicians with parts as required and/or help with Service Maintenance. Provide support to Sales department with inventory and stock checks. Deliver parts when needed. Perform or manage routine maintenance on LandMark Implement equipment, including trucks, cranes, and forklifts. Perform other related duties as assigned. Comply with all applicable safety rules and policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred. Ability to operate various types of equipment and power tools. Familiarity with agriculture equipment usage and operation. Basic mechanical abilities. Excellent communication and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly. Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle, and to stand, walk, and move in and out of the vehicle throughout the workday. The position involves frequent use of hands and arms to operate controls, secure loads, and handle materials, regularly lifting up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Duties include reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and performing repetitive motions such as gripping and securing cargo. Strong visual ability and sustained alertness are essential for safe vehicle operation, along with regular communication via telephone and electronic tools.
