Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical SurgicalPosition Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical to join our team on the 6th floor. This position involves operating on a night shift schedule with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.Shift Details:Schedule: 4x12 hours, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)Patient Ratios: 1:6-7, with flexing to 1:7 during unplanned absences.Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend.Responsibilities:Deliver patient care in a Medical Surgical environment.Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.Administer medications and monitor patient conditions, including telemetry monitoring.Engage in rapid response situations as needed.Floating between like units may be required to meet departmental needs.Qualifications:Experience: Preferred 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting.Licensure: Current South Carolina license or compact license is required prior to start.Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred.Skills: Proficient in Med/Surg, telemetry care, insulin administration, and rapid response protocols.Additional Information:Free parking available for all staff members.Travelers must be aware of emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June - November).Local radius: 60 miles; locals are not accepted for this position.Facility policy allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks.If you are a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on patient-centered care and meet the qualifications outlined above, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity in Medical Surgical nursing.
