Invasive Cardiovascular TechPer Diem Days, 7a - 7p, EP Lab, Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Cent
Atlantic Health
- Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assist MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and/or EP procedures
- Prepares and drapes patients for the process, responds to their questions alleviating any concerns regarding the procedure, and ensures patient comfort.
- Enters patient, procedure and equipment details in the system.
- Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedure, including electrocardiogram, blood pressure, chest pain.
- Retrieves imaging and other pertinent data and all necessary calculations for physician's interpretation of results.
- Balances, calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data as well as intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies.
- Operates equipment properly in a reliable manner, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines/policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
