Litigation Attorney

Position SummaryA litigation practice is seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney with a strong background in class and collective action litigation. Experience prosecuting or defending wage?and?hour matters, including claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and related state laws, is highly desirable.This role is suited for a seasoned litigator who is comfortable handling active litigation responsibilities, collaborating with partners and briefing teams, and managing complex matters through resolution.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAdvocacyRepresent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedingsPrepare for and participate in trials and arbitration hearings alongside senior counselDiscoveryDraft written discovery requests, responses, deficiency notices, and subpoenasAssist in responding to discovery served on clientsReview and analyze documents produced in discoveryLegal Research & AnalysisCollaborate with briefing attorneys on legal research and written submissionsAnalyze applicable laws, case precedent, and legal authorities relevant to claims and defensesDrafting Legal DocumentsPrepare or assist with pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other litigation documentsSettlement & Alternative Dispute ResolutionParticipate in settlement negotiations and mediationsAttend formal and informal settlement conferencesEngage in settlement?related motion practiceCase Management & CollaborationAssist with proactive management of a docket of active and settled mattersWork collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staffQualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive bar membership, in good standing5–10 years of litigation experienceSignificant experience conducting depositions and advocating at court hearingsSome experience presenting evidentiary and legal arguments, including direct and cross?examination at trialStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage complex legal issues with precision and professionalismHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsProficiency with legal research platforms and litigation softwareAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExperience with trial preparation and high?stakes litigationDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys and legal staffCompensation and BenefitsSalary range: $150,000–$200,000, based on experienceBillables are 50/ weekCase?specific bonuses tied to origination, results, and/or time expendedAnnual bonuses based on total hours recorded401(k) planHOUGW34 #J-18808-Ljbffr Burnett Staffing Specialists
