Audio Video (AV) Technician Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Audio Video (AV) Technician Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the AV industry. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced AV technicians, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems in various commercial and residential environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation and maintenance of AV systems including projectors, speakers, video walls, control systems, and more.
• Interpret and follow blueprints and schematics for AV system layouts.
• Work in various environments, including small, confined areas and at heights.
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and install AV equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow instructions from senior technicians and project managers.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues during installations or service calls.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
• Ability to read blueprints Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and plans.
• Excellent work ethic A motivated individual who is punctual, reliable, and eager to learn.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Physical ability Capable of lifting heavy equipment and tools (up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs]).
• Comfortable working in small, confined areas and at heights (not afraid of heights).
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.

Preferred Qualifications (but not required):

• Prior experience or interest in the AV industry.
• Basic knowledge of AV equipment and systems.
