Registered Nurse

Job TitleThis position is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to inmates.Major DutiesThe key responsibilities include:Providing skilled nursing care to inmates.Completing forms and reports.Performing the duties of a patient's advocate.Serving as liaison between co-workers and supervisor; serving as liaison to other departments and outside agencies.Assisting Physicians Assistants and Medical Doctors.Performing medical screenings of incoming inmates.Assisting in the emergency care and treatment of inmates.Distributing medication to inmates.Minimum QualificationsKnowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
