Staff Development/Infection Control Nurse

As a Staff Development/Infection Control Nurse with Patapsco Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and infection prevention and control in our post-hospital, short-stay nursing and rehabilitation facility. With a focus on providing compassionate and individualized care to our residents, our team is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective infection control measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases throughout the facility
Conduct routine infection control audits and provide recommendations for improvement
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
Provide education and training to staff members on infection control best practices
Monitor and report on infection rates, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
Develop and maintain a comprehensive infection control program, including policies, procedures, and protocols
About the Role:
As a Staff Development/Infection Control Nurse, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, working closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing individualized care to our patients
Our facility offers a range of amenities and services, including on-site hemodialysis and secured memory support units, to support the unique needs of our patients
Requirements:
1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a related field
Current RN licensure in the state of Maryland
Infection Control Certification
Strong knowledge of infection control principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
