Join us and play an important part on our incredible team! What You Get To Do As a Senior Safety Specialist – Safety, you will directly report to the Safety and Environment Supervisor. Assist with developing, maintaining, and instructing EHS related training courses for ambassadors at SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, and Discovery Cove. Provide support for the General Services department by leading safety meetings, assisting with hazard analysis, and performing audits on maintenance shops. Participate in EHS inspections focusing on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations. Conduct inspections of work areas and ambassadors for compliance, audit vehicles and equipment for inspections, review training records, and chemical inventories and proper storage. Attend safety meetings. Must be able to conduct all EHS classroom training sessions Develop training calendar Must be able to obtain Forklift, High Reach and DOT certifications within 90 days of employment Provide exceptional, professional guest service in a team environment. Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors, and our Guests. Perform other duties as assigned. What It Takes To Succeed 2 years of experience in EHS or a related field preferred Must be certified as a CPR/First Aid/AED trainer or willing to become certified. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License Competent person certifications preferred Theme park experience preferred Ability to maintain a valid DOT physical card. Ability to meet company driving guidelines. Ability to communicate effectively. What Else Is Important Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing) Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes. Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
