Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

The position is available in New Jersey.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: Night shifts, 3x12.5 hours (19:30 - 06:30)

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery will provide care to patients during antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. The nurse will be responsible for circulating during C-sections and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perinatal period.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery.
• Circulate for C-sections and assist during complicated deliveries.
• Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns.
• Educate parents on newborn care, breastfeeding support, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care and maintain records in the EPIC system.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including social services and rapid response teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Must possess active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2.
