About The Story Nook
- The Story Nook is a new independent bookstore and tea cafe in downtown Greenwood, bringing together books, tea and community. Our mission includes creating meaningful opportunities for adults on the autism spectrum.
- Responsibilities
- prepare and serve tea drinks following our recipes.
- Serve pastries and follow food safety procedures .
- Welcome customers and help with books and merchandise.
- Process purchases using our point-of sale system.
- Restock supplies and keep the cafe and bookstore clean and organized.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Experience and Skills
- Previous cafe, barista, or beverage service experience preffered
- Friendly customer service and clear communication.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Comfort working respectfully with people of different abilities and backgrounds.
- An interest in books and tea a plus .
- Schedule and Training
- This is a part-time position with morning and afternoon shifts. Weekend availability is preffred.
- Weekly hours will be discussed during interviews.

- Store Hours are
- Tuesday-Saturday 10a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sunday 11a.m.-4p.m.
- Opening and closing shifts may extend beyond these hours.
- The start date and paid training schedule will be confirmed during the hiring process as our store setup is completed.
- Please include your morning, afternoon and weekend availability, along with your desired weekly
- hours, in your application.
- Salary range
- $15 - $16 per hour
