Description

\n

We are seeking an experienced Document Control Manager to lead documentation activities within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This position will manage a team of 5 direct reports and oversee the processing, control, accuracy, and release of technical and customer documentation supporting production.

\n

The ideal candidate will have previous electronics manufacturing/EMS industry experience, strong document control experience, and demonstrated experience managing a team.

\n

Duties and Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Manage and support a team of 5 employees within the Documentation department
\n
• Process and manage incoming customer documentation and electronic data
\n
• Review documentation packages to ensure they are complete and accurate
\n
• Manage Bills of Material (BOMs), CAD files, drawings, Gerber files, specifications, procedures, assembly instructions, programming instructions, and test documentation
\n
• Communicate documentation issues, missing information, and discrepancies to Program Management and Engineering
\n
• Support technical review activities and production readiness
\n
• Prepare documentation and work instructions supporting manufacturing
\n
• Enter and maintain Bills of Material within the MRP system
\n
• Create and update job routings and workflow information
\n
• Generate reports from MRP and manufacturing systems
\n
• Process and distribute Quality Bulletins
\n
• Manage customer Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
\n
• Monitor manufacturing work-in-process and job status
\n
• Maintain customer documentation and revision control
\n
• Work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Production teams
\n
• Identify documentation or process issues and develop solutions to prevent production delays
\n
• Help improve documentation processes and workflow efficiency
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Previous document control experience within an electronics manufacturing, EMS, PCB/PCBA, or similar technical manufacturing environment
\n
• Previous experience managing or supervising employees
\n
• Strong understanding of Bills of Material, engineering drawings, specifications, ECOs, and technical documentation
\n
• Experience working with MRP systems
\n
• Experience with Gerber files and technical manufacturing data preferred
\n
• Strong project planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
\n
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Production
\n
• Knowledge of electronic component identification preferred
\n
• Experience with Aegis or similar shop- floor/manufacturing software preferred
\n

Education and Experience

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
\n
• Previous leadership experience within document control or technical manufacturing documentation required
\n
• Electronics manufacturing industry experience required
\n

Computer Skills

\n

Experience with manufacturing and documentation software including:

• Microsoft Office
\n
• MRP/ERP systems
\n
• Aegis or similar manufacturing software
\n
• Gerber tools/viewers
\n
• PLM systems
\n
• VBA experience is a plus
\n
