Sr. Project Manager - Project Implementation Team, Ambulatory Operational Excellence

This role is a key driver of enterprise ambulatorytransformation, supporting large-scale operational initiatives, clinicexpansion, and system-wide standardization efforts across UCLA Health. As theSenior Project Manager, you will beresponsible for implementation,coordination, monitoring, and maintaining a variety of enterprise-wide effortsand multi-faceted projects to support clinical and administrative services,community practice expansion initiatives, and process improvementinitiatives. You will manage these complex projects by using critical projectmanagement thinking skills, including, but not limited to, establishing scope ofwork and project plans, facilitating collaboration and communication betweenfunctional groups across departments, managing timelines for project tasks,reporting, ensuring goals are tracked and met, and effectively coordinatingactivities with the project team. In addition, you will assistinstreamlining existing projects and management processes, procedures andguidelines byincorporating applicable best practices.In this role,you will demonstrate managerial and leadership skills to support administrative andprofessional staff in project activities. You will also organize projectspecific and advisory group meetings and ensure that minutes and action itemsare generated and distributed.

This role also requires travel between all HealthSystem practice locations as assigned.

Salary Range: $70,900 - $145,200 Annual

• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Healthcare Administration, operations, Project Management or policy analysis within a complex healthcare academic medical center, or equivalent environment.
• Ability to travel between all Health System practice location as assigned
• Demonstrated skills in data analysis and presentation.
• Demonstrated skill (intermediate to advanced level) in the use of personal computers and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, database management, and analysis.
• Organizational skills in priority setting, following through on assigned tasks, and adhering to deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with and enhance communication and collaboration with staff, colleagues, administrative personnel.
• Ability to function effectively in an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, other healthcare personnel and administrative staff.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to define project objectives, project milestones, and overall project strategy in an objectively and measurable fashion.
• Demonstrated ability in diplomacy, discretion, tact and sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and disagreements between team members or stakeholders while fostering positive relationships.
• Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate methods and systems to improve efficiency.
• Advanced oral communication skills to obtain and convey correct and complete information and concepts to individuals and groups in formal and informal situations
• Strong project management skills with the proven ability to deliver agreed objectives with timeframes, including experience in project outcome reporting utilizing industry standards.
• Experience in leading, facilitating, and implementing new programs and/or projects.

Highly Preferred:

• Strong foundational understanding of clinicalpolicies and procedures, ideally within a hospital or ambulatory setting.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, refining,and implementing operational or clinical policies and procedures, with a provenability to drive policy standardization across clinical settings.
• Experience designing and operationalizingstructured review and approval workflows that effectively engagecross-functional stakeholders.
• Skilled in developing and operationalizingstandardized processes, frameworks, and toolkits to drive consistent, scalableimplementation of approved clinical services across the ambulatory enterprise.
• Excellent verbal and written communicationskills, including experience managing change communication.
• Ability to develop and implement standardizedcommunication plans to ensure stakeholders receive and understand new standardsin a clear and consistent format, supporting successful adoption andcompliance.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensiveassessments of operational workflows and clinic best practices, utilizingrepresentative sampling techniques to gain accurate insights into the currentstate and process variation.
• Experience creating and managing a digitalrepository to ensure ease of access and sustainability across the ambulatoryenterprise.
• Capability to operate effectively in ambiguousenvironments, helping to define structure, processes, and scalable approachesfor new and evolving enterprise initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex,cross-functional environments, balancing multiple stakeholders, priorities, andcompeting demands.
• Experience leading enterprise or multi-siteambulatory initiatives across diverse clinic settings.
• Experience supporting executive-level reporting,including development of presentations, dashboards, and decision-supportmaterials.
