AbilityWorks of Oklahoma is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Job Coach III to provide one-on-one support to a client requiring total care in a competitive employment setting. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a strong commitment to promoting inclusion and independence in the workplace.

The successful candidate will be friendly, patient, dependable, and professional, with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. This position requires someone who is attentive to the client's needs, works well with others, and is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive employment experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and assistance with job-related tasks to promote success and independence in the workplace.

• Collaborate with the client and employer to create and maintain a supportive, inclusive work environment.

• Develop and implement individualized training strategies based on the client's needs and abilities.

• Monitor the client's progress and adjust support strategies as needed.

• Maintain clear and professional communication with the client, family members, employer, and other members of the support team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred.

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

• Friendly, patient, dependable, and professional demeanor.

• Basic math skills with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to adapt to individual needs and remain patient and professional when responding to challenging situations.

• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to providing a positive and inclusive customer experience.
