Quality Technician ICadrex is searching for a Quality Technician I to directly support our manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.Key ResponsibilitiesRelease product for shipping by ensuring proper documentation/certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirementsUnderstand and apply basic GD&T conceptsProficient in dimensional verification of PPAP and first article partsProvide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation/development of manufacturing related documentation and providing or teaching proper measuring techniquesProvide technical inspection of manufactured and raw materials at receiving as outlined by the processCollect data, evaluate, and present quality metricsProgram and operate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment proficientlyAttend department meetings as requiredRequirementsPreferred Qualifications1+ years working preferably in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection or an equivalent combination of education and experienceRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondenceEffectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employeesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphsKnowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and the use of the InternetCertification as a Quality Technician preferredProgramming for FARO and Micro-Vu Measurement Equipment desiredEducationAssociate degree in related field preferred
