Legal Counsel Construction (Hybrid)

DescriptionKforce has a client in Dublin, CA in need of a Legal Counsel Construction (Hybrid).Responsibilities:* Provide legal guidance on construction contracts, project execution, and risk management* Draft, review, and negotiate construction-related agreements, amendments, and vendor contracts* Manage construction disputes, claims, collections, and related legal matters* Oversee outside counsel and support litigation strategy, budgeting, and case management* Conduct legal research and prepare business-focused legal recommendations* Develop contract templates, policies, and process improvements to mitigate risk* Deliver training and guidance on construction law and contractual obligations* Support corporate governance activities and other legal department initiativesRequirements* Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school* Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar* 10+ years of experience practicing construction law, including civil litigation* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, claims, payment remedies, and dispute resolution* Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements* Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills* Strong communication and relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels* Experience managing outside counsel and legal service providers* Proficiency with legal research platforms and standard business software applications* Self-motivated professional with strong judgment, accountability, and problem-solving skillsJob TypeDirect HireCompensation195000 - $225000
