Associate Actuary - NYC, NYGlobal Life Insurance company is searching for an Associate Actuary to join their team.The Associate Actuary will lead key activities supporting FASB LDTI readiness for the Life segment. They will become a subject matter expert of LDTI standard with regards to individual life products and their impacts on the actuarial models, reporting processes, and financial results.Primary Responsibilities:Lead Long Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) project for the Life segment which includes implementing and executing modeling and assumption updates and performing complex reporting and analysisPartner with various business partners and external consultants to support LDTI readiness by modeling, testing and evaluating options to help with key business decisionsWorks collaboratively with other teams to create and design the future state of management reporting to explain reserve movements under LDTI.Provide dry run / parallel run support including facilitating ledger intake templates, explaining results and producing disaggregated roll-forwardsCoordinate, prepare and perform actuarial analysis to assist in the development of financial forecasts under LDTIWork closely with internal audit to identify new process risks and develop and perform controls under LDTI.Assist in implementing LDTI under the modernization initiativeAssist with onboarding future Life blocks as a result of M&A activity under LDTI frameworkOpportunities to lead cross-functional projects in Agile work environmentQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent discipline.5+ years actuarial experience within the Life Insurance IndustryExperience with Long Duration Targeted ImprovementsExcellent communication skills
