Maintenance Technician III

As a Maintenance Technician III, you'll be one of those hands — the technician other people count on when something needs to get fixed, and fixed correctly. This is a hands-on role for someone who already knows their way around electrical, hydraulic, and automated systems, takes pride in doing the job right the first time, and doesn't wait to be told what needs attention. WHAT YOU'LL DO Keep mechanical, electrical, air, and plumbing systems running safely and efficiently across our plant, warehouse, and office spaces Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies, notify the right people, and follow every safety policy and PPE requirement Maintain and troubleshoot automation equipment — sensors, switches, and valves — and manage related inventory Inspect alarm and fire protection systems, scheduling repairs before small issues become big ones Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to keep us compliant with health and safety regulations Keep accurate, organized records of all maintenance and repair work performed Help manage facility budgets by sourcing quality parts and materials at competitive prices Coordinate with outside contractors when a job calls for extra hands or specialized expertise Work independently, manage your own priorities, and communicate repair issues clearly to affected teams Pitch in wherever needed — including overtime when the job demands it WHO YOU ARE High school diploma plus 6–8 years of hands‑on maintenance experience Advanced understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems A proven track record as a maintenance technician in an industrial, plant, or facilities setting Comfortable and competent operating forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts, and a full range of hand tools Able to lift 50 lbs and handle the physical demands of the role A sharp problem-solver with excellent manual dexterity A clear communicator who keeps affected teams informed on repair status Dependable, results‑oriented, and driven by a genuine sense of urgency and teamwork PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience maintaining facilities that support reciprocating engines, compressors, or other heavy industrial equipment Current certification operating forklifts, cranes, or scissor lifts Working knowledge of PLCs or building automation/control systems Prior experience supporting OEM or aftermarket service operations WHY JOIN US Most benefits are effective your first day — no waiting period Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Company‑paid life, AD&D, short‑term, and long‑term disability coverage (6‑month short‑term disability waiting period) Voluntary life, AD&D, and long‑term disability buy‑up plans Voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance plans 401(k) with up to 5% company match — you're 100% vested on Day 1 Maternity and parental leave, Arc Fertility Benefits, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health support Cooper Machinery Services is an equal opportunity employer and gives all qualified applicants consideration of employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
