The Patient Support Specialist Financial Services position allows you to support patients through the financial aspects of their care while working closely with clinical, administrative, and billing teams to provide a seamless patient experience. In this role, you will help patients understand insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, payment expectations, and available financial resources with professionalism and empathy.
This position is well suited for someone who is a warm, personable, and confident communicator who enjoys engaging with patients by phone, text, and portal message. The ideal candidate will bring a strong customer experience mindset and a genuine desire to help people feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout their fertility journey.
We are seeking a Patient Support Specialist Financial Services to join our dedicated team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is a full-time position with a MondayFriday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role will begin with a structured onsite training program starting June 15, lasting approximately 68 weeks. Following successful completion of training, the position is expected to transition to a hybrid work arrangement.
Key responsibilities include maintaining patient accounts, verifying insurance benefits, obtaining referrals, reviewing patient financial history, supporting billing and coding processes, submitting daily charge entries, obtaining waivers, reviewing financing options, serving as a liaison between patients and teams, communicating with patients, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks.
Position requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous experience in customer service, front desk support, call center, healthcare administration, insurance verification, billing, collections, or another patient-facing role preferred, and skills such as warm communication, strong customer experience mindset, comfortable engaging with patients, strong customer service skills, excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, ability to learn healthcare systems, comfortable discussing financial matters, ability to manage multiple priorities, comfortable using computers, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
