Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: - Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience required. - Experience in circulating and operating room procedures required. - Scrub experience highly preferred. - Experience in general surgery, robotics, pediatrics, and trauma required. - Additional experience in neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, and vascular surgery preferred. License: - Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required. Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) required. Must-Have: - All work history/resume/employment history must include at least 24 months of current operating room experience. - Skills checklist must be specific to operating room nursing and scrubbing. - Professional reference or reference check from a charge nurse, supervisor, or director required within the last 24 months. - Driver's license required. Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Phone call or text from a 405 area code. Holiday rotation is required; contractors are expected to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Expect an average caseload of 35-50 cases per day. Turnover expectation is less than 20 minutes. Working in a level 1 trauma center with 16 operating rooms. Service lines include cardiac, neuro, trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants. Floating across all campuses may be required. Call schedule includes overnight shifts and weekends. No first-time travelers; completed travel assignments within the previous 15 months are required. Experience with EPIC electronic medical systems within the last 3 years is required. Must be able to work across various surgical specialties. The call for weekends is from the end of the shift on Friday until Monday morning.
