We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) . The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in healthcare, long-term care, or a similar environment and be comfortable working alongside the housekeeping team to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.

• Supervise, train, and support the housekeeping staff to ensure daily tasks and assignments are completed efficiently.

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping schedules.

• Ensure resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, offices, and other facility areas are properly cleaned and maintained.

• Perform routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and infection-control standards are consistently met.

• Be hands-on with floor care , including operating and maintaining floor-care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and other related machinery.

• Perform stripping, waxing, buffing, and routine floor maintenance as needed.

• Monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment and communicate ordering or maintenance needs.

• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with facility policies and safety standards.

• Work closely with nursing and facility leadership to address cleanliness concerns and resident needs.

• Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, infection prevention practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation.

• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, schedules, and documentation.

• Assist with special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.

• Previous housekeeping supervisory experience required.

• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, nursing home, hospital, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience operating floor-care machines and equipment .

• Knowledge of stripping, waxing, buffing, and maintaining various types of flooring.

• Strong understanding of infection control and environmental cleaning standards.

• Ability to lead, motivate, and hold staff accountable while maintaining a positive team environment.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Reliable, dependable, and willing to work alongside the team when needed.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

We are looking for a working supervisor—not someone who simply delegates . The ideal candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves, work alongside the housekeeping team, operate floor-care equipment, and lead by example.
