Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology

Wilkes University's Department of Biology and Earth Systems Sciences has an opening for a one-year visiting assistant professor position for the 2026-27 academic year. Preferred candidates will have a PhD in aquatic ecosystems, environmental science, or a related field with teaching experience in both introductory and advanced college courses. The successful candidate will teach introductory environmental science courses and an upper-level course in the candidate's area of specialty. The candidate will have opportunities to mentor undergraduate students in research and take advantage of the university's nearly 200 acres of natural areas, which includes wetlands, streams, and forest. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
