Job Duties The successful candidate will be expected to: Assist participants with job-readiness skills and job development including resume-building, communication, interviewing skills, and the employment application process. Discover the participant’s skill set to ensure appropriate job matches. Network with local employers to increase opportunities for participants. Provide participants with on-the-job training including interaction with supervisors and co-workers. Provide ongoing advocacy and support to ensure long-term job retention and to facilitate career growth. Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of supports. Attend meetings, participate in community meetings and training as applicable. Education High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred. Related experience may be considered in lieu of higher education. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of or experience working with ADA, ACCES-VR, OPWDD, OMH and the employment market preferred. Experience in customer service and working with people with disabilities. Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
