All applicants must be at least 14 years of age and able to lift 50 lbs.ESSENTIAL DUTIESOperate the Activities while openInspect and set up all Activities equipment and structures prior to openingTicket and line management, scan tickets and control line flow, while communicating with guestsProving guest service in line with our Service Excellence standards.Properly go over safety briefings with guestsTalk to guests and help with any questionsClose and store all equipment properlyMaintain a clean area around the activitiesCompliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.Attend team meetings as requiredMay be asked to assist with other Base Area Services including groundskeeping, debris removal and event set up.Other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS2 years of previous work history/education requiredMust have excellent guest service skills and experience in the guest service field is helpfulAdhere to all safety policiesMust adhere to company policies and proceduresPrevious experience with activities a plusMust have basic computer skills for the operation of handheld ticket scanning devicesInteract and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standardsThe base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $18.50 - $19.50 per hourPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be a minimum of 14 years of ageLift 50 lbs. and perform moderate to strenuous physical activity with lots of lifting, twisting, and turningMust work outside in all weather conditions (heat, snow, cold, sun, and inclement weather conditions)Communicate clearly in English; communicate safety procedures clearly and effectivelyMust be able to stand for long periods of time, physically capable of balancing on uneven surfaces while operating activitiesMust have good hand/eye coordinationThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
