About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Director of Residential Lending to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing strategic leadership for residential mortgage and consumer lending, ensuring that all activities are in line with the company's mission, business objectives, and customer service expectations. This role requires the development and execution of lending strategies, products, and initiatives that support growth, profitability, and operational effectiveness. The Director will also be responsible for overseeing loan origination, underwriting, approvals, and portfolio performance, as well as maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, a minimum of 7 years in residential mortgage lending, and a strong background in leadership, relationship management, and business development. Extensive knowledge of lending regulations, underwriting standards, and secondary-market requirements is essential. The role involves leading and developing a team of Mortgage Loan Officers and Residential Underwriters, so the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in talent management and a focus on fostering a customer-centric culture. Experience with residential lending technology platforms is preferred, and an active NMLS registration is required. The Director will also be expected to identify and mitigate operational, compliance, credit, and reputational risks within the lending function.
