Location: Boro Park & Midwood, Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: Up to $50 per visit (Independent Contractor / 1099)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality home care services to patients under Medicare Part B in the Boro Park and Midwood areas of Brooklyn. This is an independent contractor position offering flexible scheduling and competitive per-visit compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy treatments in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
Accurately document all patient visits, progress notes, and treatment outcomes using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (we use HelloNote)
Communicate consistently and directly with the supervising PT regarding patient status, progress, and any concerns
Follow established care plans and adjust interventions as directed by the PT
Maintain compliance with Medicare Part B regulations and documentation standards
Ensure timely completion of all required documentation
Qualifications:
Current New York State license as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Experience in home care and/or Medicare Part B preferred
Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
Comfortable using EMR systems for documentation
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
Reliable transportation for travel within Boro Park and Midwood
