Function:
Facilitates shipments of incoming and outgoing products and materials, including hazardous waste.
Scope:
Responsible for verifying outbound/inbound shipments of finished goods products, raw materials, and supplies.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, and demonstrating initiative in identifying additional job-related tasks to be completed when time permits. The amount of time performing each function may vary day-to-day. All duties shall be performed in an efficient and professional manner in accordance with the company policies and under the direct supervision of a designated supervisor.
1. Obtain and process product orders, prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and invoices, and verify shipment details.
2. Assist with preparing and maintaining a delivery schedule and communicating to all relevant departments.
3. Assist with unloading, loading, sorting, stocking, packaging, labeling, and dispatching goods, using pallet jacks or forklifts.
4. Follow all relevant guidelines and regulations for the Import and Export of all goods and materials related to certifications in DOT, IATA, IMDG, DEA, and EPA.
5. Effectively communicate with internal and external teams regarding shipping status, discrepancies, and delivery schedules, escalating issues related to international shipping to proper personnel.
6. Stay up to date on all relevant SOPs including revisions.
7. Adherence to State and Federal regulations and guidelines when handling hazardous materials or when exposed to hazardous situations.
8. Verification of all freight PODs (Proof of Delivery) as needed.
9. Assist team with maintenance of material handling equipment.
10. Adherence to TOK America's corporate, manufacturing and logistics methods and SOPs, while maintaining compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
11. Perform 6S related duties such as cleaning and general housekeeping.
12. Adherence to all PPE requirements onsite.
13. Actively demonstrate high levels of employee engagement, coachability (e.g., receiving and incorporating business-related feedback and instruction with a positive and growth-oriented mindset) to achieve desired outcomes, and accountability for personal performance and its impact on others' ability to do their job well.
14. Perform other necessary duties and tasks as requested.
Periodical
Attending annual and/or quarterly refresher courses related to hazardous waste management and handling, DOT, IATA, IMDG, general safety, quality management, environmental management, and forklift safety.
Supervision:
Receives: General supervision given by Supervisor and above. Completed work is periodically reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and compliance within established guidelines.

Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Position requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D
2 years of previous Logistics and Warehouse experience.
Forklift certification is required.
Knowledge of common warehouse practices.
REQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS:
Must be comfortable working with chemicals including, but not limited to, corrosives and organic solvents.
Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).
Ability to perform basic mathematics.
Ability to follow instructions in both verbal and written form.
Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
Have a stable, verifiable work history with excellent attendance record.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Ability to become certified in all Shipping Clerk activities conducted by the division and cross-trained as seen fit by the Logistics Manager.
Ability to obtain and maintain certifications in IATA, DOT, DEA, EPA and IMDG hazardous goods shipping.
Ability to wear a respirator mask to perform required tasks.
Working Conditions:
There is a potential for exposure to hazardous conditions and/or materials. This position requires employee to remain alert and observe surrounding areas and conditions to identify, recognize, and respond to potential obstacles, safety concerns, hazards, threats, property conditions requiring attention, unauthorized and/or dangerous persons, and emergencies. The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. This position primarily works in a warehouse setting and includes frequent exposure job-related hazards, inclement weather when bay doors or windows are open, cold-room/refrigerated rooms in near freezing temperatures for extended periods of time, unsafe, or hazardous road conditions when responding to field mechanical concerns, hazardous chemicals (oils, paints, and solvents), and loud noises from working equipment. Outdoor settings may involve a variety of property and site conditions, including open spaces, urban development, flat, hilly, and uneven terrain, stairwells and staircases, and other uneven surfaces that may present tripping hazards and/or other dangers that require diligence in observing and heeding site conditions to ensure safe work. Working outside or near outside spaces may expose employees to bee stings, poison oak, and insect bites. The work environment is fast-paced, high-pressure, and must be performed with an emphasis on quality and working safely while avoiding distractions and interruptions.
Lift, transport, maneuver, and/or move materials and/or equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. on a regular basis in the performance of regular duties in the office and/or in the field, sometimes over uneven terrain or around obstacles existing in a variety of work environments and inclement weather conditions.
Move to, from and within our building and across company-related property or field site locations with consistently uneven terrain. Movement to, from and within property locations may occur during inclement weather, extreme temperatures, rain or snow, strong winds, and during low visibility and low light conditions (e.g., evening, early morning, fog, etc.).

Personnel must successfully complete a program of on-site classroom instruction or on-the-job training that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that ensures compliance with all job requirements. Prior experience and/or certification that can be verified will be considered in evaluating training requirements.
