This position will be located in either Melbourne FL or San Diego, CAJob Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:New business acquisition, proposal, and special projects supportSupport Functional Engineering initiativesAssist with staff workload forecast preparationIdentifying and implementing new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiencyAcquire the necessary computers, equipment, and tools to enable the team to accomplish their assigned jobPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systemsLeads Engineering teams with program executionMentor Engineers on all phases of the ProgramCreates, reviews, and maintains critical documentationStrong interpersonal skillsSupports the software department, software center, and software sector in their day-to-day activitiesBasic Qualifications:Must either have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in software development, OR a Master’s degree Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 6 years of related professional/military experience OR a PhD Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 4 years of experience that includes a background in software developmentPrior experience in a leadership capacity using agile development, including participating as Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and/or team member in an Agile development environment.Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Experience with Agile software development, object-oriented architecture and programming, software integration and testing.Experience with at least two of the following programming or scripting languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, C#, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, or KornShellExperience with Cloud technologies and service providers.Active in-Scope, DoD Secret clearanceAbility to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needsPreferred Qualifications:Current approved PAR to applicable programAn advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM disciplineAdvanced technical management degreePrior experience in engineering functional managementProven leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skillsPrevious experience leading a team of 5-12 employees with a record of on-time performancePrevious experience in developing proposal inputs (task descriptions and basis of estimate)Time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilitiesPrior experience with cost account management and task/resource planningPrimary Level Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $241,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
