The ideal Photography Team Lead will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. This position provides daily operating leadership, management and support to the site photo operations for assigned locations, ensuring established goals are met. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable. Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities Manages the daily operation of photography business as assigned to achieve the company objectives of financial goals for revenue and expenses, Guest experience, and Host satisfaction and care Leads and oversees front-line workers using the company’s Lead with Love principles, resulting in teamwork, a well-functioning daily operation and timely resolution of conflicts and complications Manages plans for the ongoing development of Hosts within the assigned area of responsibility. This includes training, coaching, correction, growth opportunities, and positive discipline of the front-line workforce Ensures photo-specific daily operating competencies are managed effectively and consistently reinforced examples of competencies include, but are not limited to: effective photography, sales skills, guest relations skills consistent with company standards, and basic hardware/software maintenance and trouble shooting Effectively executes business strategies created by Management Troubleshoots, communicates and resolves equipment and technical issues Leads and motivates effective sales team Participates in meetings with leadership as appropriate, with the goal of constantly reviewing and improving the business Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ensures proper flow of communication among all leadership levels regarding significant dates, events, meetings, etc. Cultivates a photo team culture of enthusiasm, respect, teamwork, collaboration, transparency, team development, empowerment, learning, and embracing of growth Complies with, supports, and ensures photo team compliance with all department and park specific policies, legal requirements, standards, procedures, and initiatives Maintains sales and cash flow records in accordance with established procedures Ensures proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with property procedures, as well as Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards Performs job duties of Team Member role as necessary Follows All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and uses associated injury prevention measures Suspends operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time Education and Experience Required Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skill required Previous photography experience preferred but not required Must possess strong motivational and servant leadership skills Must be able to critically process situations and react quickly while using good judgment Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills Must be willing to adapt to changes, policies, and procedures Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of onboarding process which includes background screening and pre employment drug screening Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees Must reflect Dollywood's image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work Must be self-motivated and disciplined Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information Must be committed to continuous improvement Must maintain a professional appearance with good personal hygiene Must promote and support a "team" work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers Must be productive in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays Must be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelines Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills Able to comprehend instructions and retain information Able to perform duties consistently while creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests Able to be flexible and handle frequent changes in priorities Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow Guests and Hosts using approved communication methods Physical and Cognitive Requirements Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting Mobility: Position may require intermittent toprolongedsitting,standingand/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may alsobe requiredto travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain,stairsand uneven surfaces Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands,armsor other body parts as part of typical job functions Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
