Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced RN specializing in MedSurg/Tele for a travel assignment in a dynamic and supportive work environment. This role is ideal for those looking to leverage their skills in a Level 1 Trauma and Teaching Hospital setting, providing care for a variety of post-operative and chronic disease patients.

Key responsibilities of the RN MedSurg/Tele include:

• Provide care for patients undergoing surgeries including hip, knee, and shoulder replacements
• Management of cardiac and insulin drips, chest tubes, wound vacs, trachs, and PCA pumps
• Monitor patients with conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, CHF, and electrolyte imbalances
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for patient discharge planning and care
• Conduct telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Perform IV insertion, central line management, and wound care
• Utilize hospital technology including EMR (EPIC), IV Pumps (Alaris), and Med Dispensing (Pyxis)

Requirements of the RN MedSurg/Tele include:

• Valid BLS certification
• Pass an EKG competency exam
• 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
• Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital
• Experience in trach care, chest tube management, and glucommander
• Preferably ACLS and national medical-surgical or nephrology nursing certification
