Sales Representative

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week

The initial training period of up to 16 weeks involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely Monday & Friday / onsite at our Tampa office, 8641 Henderson Rd, Tampa, FL 33634 on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. After training, the role will transition to full time work from home.

Role Overview:

The Sales Representative serves as the primary point of contact for both existing and prospective customers. In this role, you will deliver tailored solutions from our product portfolio by understanding customer needs and presenting appropriate options. The Sales team is responsible for providing exceptional customer experience throughout the enrollment journey. Key responsibilities include managing inbound calls, addressing customer inquiries, reviewing current policies, providing suitable options, following established procedures, and guiding customers through the enrollment process. You will accurately collect and verify customer information, deliver effective solutions, and thoroughly document all interactions. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 8:00pm. Full-time candidates must be available to work a variety of hours, including the following schedules: 11:00am 7:00pm, 11:30am - 7:30pm, 12:00pm 8:00pm.

What You'll Do:

• Independently manage inbound sales calls by building rapport and using a consultative approach
• Guide customers step-by-step through the enrollment process
• Leverage available tools and resources to recommend the best solutions for each customer

What You'll Bring:

• Minimum 2 years of customer service and/or call center experience required
• High school diploma, or GED from an accredited school required.
• A customer-first mindset with a strong focus on effectively managing sales conversations
• Ability to educate customers on product features and benefits while presenting clear options
• Confidence in handling the majority of customer interactions independently
• Proven ability to build rapport
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Excellent computer navigation skills and ability to multitask

Bonus points for:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related experience
• Bilingual Spanish
• Prior experience within the insurance industry

Training & Development:

Sales Representatives undergo a comprehensive paid Hybrid training program to learn about the insurance industry, product and policy provisions and transaction processing. Coaching and feedback is provided to help you gain the necessary skills to be successful. Career growth opportunities available.

It is mandatory to attend all Sales and Service Center training with the objective of obtaining the Florida Life and Variable Annuities License (#214).

Preferred candidates hold a current / active Florida Life and Variable Annuities License (#214) with Continuing Education (CEs) with deadline not due within 90 days from date of hire. If CE's are due within 90 days, they must be completed before date of hire.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
