Position Summary

Still Waters Resort is seeking a motivated, energetic, and safety-focused Aquatics Supervisor to lead daily operations of our aquatics facilities. This leadership role is responsible for supervising Aquatics Attendants, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring cleanliness and operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences throughout all pool and water recreation areas.

The Aquatics Supervisor serves as the primary on-site leader for aquatics operations during assigned shifts and plays a key role in staff training, guest service, safety compliance, and facility presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and support Aquatics Attendants during daily operations.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling staff.
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate daily expectations.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching as needed.
• Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained throughout operating hours.
• Foster a positive, guest-focused team culture.

Guest Experience

• Provide outstanding customer service and serve as a resource for guest questions and concerns.
• Resolve guest issues professionally and efficiently.
• Promote a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere throughout all aquatic facilities.
• Assist guests with information regarding resort amenities, activities, and services.

Safety & Compliance

• Monitor pool areas to ensure guest safety and compliance with all resort policies.
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations consistently and professionally.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns.
• Complete incident reports and communicate issues to management.
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and readily available.
• Assist with emergency response procedures and first aid situations as necessary.

Facility Operations

• Conduct routine inspections of pools, decks, furniture, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
• Ensure pool areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
• Coordinate opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor pool chemical readings and communicate maintenance concerns promptly.
• Assist with inventory management of pool supplies and equipment.
• Report facility repairs and operational issues to management.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain daily logs and operational reports.
• Track attendance and staffing needs.
• Assist with scheduling and timekeeping responsibilities.
• Support management with special projects and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous aquatics, pool operations, hospitality, recreation, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong swimming ability and comfort working around water.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional guest service and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions in emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently while leading a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and peak resort periods.

Preferred Certifications

• CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Lifeguard Certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and moving pool furniture and equipment.
