About the Position

Job Title

Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist (CVCST) – OR/Surgery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Four 10-hour shifts per week, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required: one weeknight per week and one weekend per month

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary scrub technologist in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment
• Assist with complex cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip, AAA (endovascular and open), and AV fistula procedures
• Set up, operate, and maintain specialized surgical equipment including bovie cautery, EVH video tower, laparoscopic video tower, surgical tourniquet, IABP console, Impella console, cryo system, and patient warming/cooling systems
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments throughout all procedures
• Document and chart accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation including weeknight and weekend coverage as required

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR scrub technologist experience
• Demonstrated experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures
• Ability and willingness to fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR or ability to adapt quickly to facility EMR systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced cardiovascular procedures such as TAVR, TMVR, and MitraClip
• Familiarity with specialized cardiovascular equipment including IABP and Impella consoles
• Strong teamwork orientation with a flexible, professional, and punctual work style
