Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, MOAB, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Epic EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months - Ability to self-study telemetry strips prior to starting assignment Description: The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Care Setting. The RN is able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. RNs coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed in order to work in the Emergency Department. While the RN will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the RN is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every other weekend rotation and every other holiday are required.
