Job Summary and Qualifications Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently as requested during shift both in inpatient and outpatient areas. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements and assists in the Clinical Laboratory as needed. Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, inputting specimen collection information in the computer as required, general clerical duties such as answering phones and processing requisitions in house and specimens sent to reference laboratories. Adheres to proper drawing techniques, and understands the cognitive, emotional and chronological maturation of each age group.
