Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Project Buyer to join our procurement team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and services essential to project execution across various departments. Your expertise will ensure the timely acquisition of quality supplies while optimizing costs and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management systems, ERP platforms, and procurement processes, contributing significantly to our operational efficiency and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement activities for large-scale projects, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor selection
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project timelines and budget requirements
• Manage vendor communication to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Oracle EBS for purchase order creation, tracking, and inventory management
• Analyze Excel data to evaluate supplier performance, pricing trends, and procurement metrics
• Coordinate with logistics and production planning teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities within materials management and purchasing management systems
• Conduct direct negotiations with vendors to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and contractual agreements
• Monitor inventory levels using inventory control systems to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Support sourcing initiatives through e-commerce platforms and market research
• Collaborate with accounting software teams to ensure procurement aligns with financial policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing management roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments
• Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, or Oracle EBS
• Proven expertise in materials management, inventory control, and logistics coordination
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of vendor relationship management
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis for procurement reporting and decision-making
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and sourcing strategies
• Experience supporting purchasing management systems that are technically integrated within enterprise software solutions
• Excellent communication skills for effective vendor negotiations and cross-functional collaboration
