Prep/Bar BackThe Prep/Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Luminary Hotel service standards and Mainsail Lodging & Development standards. The Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean, and well-stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required, but the focus will be on the support staff position.What You HaveHigh school diploma, equivalent, or higherPrevious hospitality experienceMinimum 1-year experience working in a restaurant or bar settingKnowledge and experience with beer, wine, and liquorCustomer service experienceStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience working on a team in a hospitality settingAbility to use technology, e.g., computers, tablets, iPads, and POSAbility to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.A sense of ownership in everything that you doWhat You'll DoProvide service to bartenders in a timely mannerPrepare beverage garnishes and mixesEnsure proper stocking and rotation of beer, liquor, wine, and consumable itemsClean glasses, utensils, tools, and other bar equipmentRun food from kitchen to bar and bar area to ensure guests receive their food in a timely mannerProvide guests with menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation, and pricesMaintain opening and closing par levels for beer, wine, liquor, and consumablesAssist in the receiving and unloading of bar items.
