Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Client ICU, Critical Care, CVICU, Cardiovascular ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current Illinois License Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our ICU units. Candidates must have strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Candidates must be willing to float to Step-Down ICU. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice acts. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage required.
