A well regarded family law firm in Hackensack is adding a Junior Paralegal to its team. This is a hands on role for someone who's spent a year or two in a law firm and is ready to grow inside a busy matrimonial practice. You'll work directly with attorneys on divorce, custody, support, and related matters, and you'll see cases from the initial consult all the way through settlement or trial.

What You'll Do

•      Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, certifications, proposed orders, and routine correspondence for attorney review

•      Help clients complete Case Information Statements and gather financial documents such as tax returns, pay stubs, and bank statements

•      Organize and summarize discovery, including interrogatories, document requests, and financial records

•      File documents with the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part, through eCourts and JEDS, and track every deadline

•      Maintain the attorney calendar for court appearances, mediations, early settlement panels, and client meetings

•      Serve as a first point of contact for clients, answering calls and emails with professionalism and discretion

•      Keep client files and the case management system accurate and up to date

•      Assist with trial and hearing preparation, including exhibit binders and document indexes
