This full-time role spans from August through June, working weekdays, with 32 to 37.5 hours weekly. As a special education teacher, you’ll make a difference for a small caseload of approximately 15 students in both 2nd and 5th grades, rotating between two nearby schools. The position entails both teaching and case management so your ability to adapt and foster positive learning environments will be key.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary aged students, ideally in both 2nd and 5th grades
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to navigate multiple school locations and collaborate across teams
• Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs in both resource and general education settings
• Serve as case manager for a caseload of up to 15 students, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create nurturing, productive learning experiences
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies and supports as necessary
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and school events related to special education programming
