Role Description This full-time remote Loan Officer role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and guiding clients through the lending process from initial contact to closing. Day-to-day activities include consulting with prospective borrowers to understand their financial goals, collecting and reviewing documentation, and advising on suitable loan products based on eligibility and market conditions. The Loan Officer will coordinate with underwriting and processing teams, ensure files meet regulatory and company guidelines, and communicate status updates clearly and promptly. The role also involves building and maintaining referral relationships, following up on leads, and using company systems to manage pipelines and track performance. A successful Loan Officer will deliver consistent, high-quality customer service while meeting individual and team production goals in a compliant and ethical manner. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in Loan Officer or mortgage lending roles, with a strong understanding of residential loan products and processes. Solid foundation in Finance and financial analysis, including income, credit, asset, and debt evaluation. Knowledge of Underwriting principles and guidelines, and ability to prepare complete, compliant loan files. Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and build long-term client relationships. Proven Loan Origination skills, including prospecting, lead management, and closing loans in a timely manner. Relevant state mortgage loan originator licenses (or ability to obtain), and familiarity with federal and state lending regulations. Comfort with remote work, including proficiency in CRM, LOS, and standard office software; strong organizational and time-management abilities. High ethical standards aligned with company values; ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve production targets.
