May involve actual construction and/or project management, supervising and coordinating work of contractorsJanitorial - Manage company standards in keeping multiple facility locations clean, safe, and well maintainedLawn & Facility Grounds Care - Maintain area grounds for all facilitiesSnow Removal - Manage a snow removal plan at all facilitiesFleet Management - Oversees and evaluates repairs and maintenance completed on company owned vehiclesStrategic Planning - Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives; calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money and manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities. Key focus areas: safety repairs & general maintenance; clean and well-functioning facilities; client "touch point" upgrades; expansion planningWhat are we looking for in a great Maintenance Manager?High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)5+ years of experienceAble to travel frequently, occasionally overnightActive driver's license with a good driving recordAbove average knowledge in building maintenance and light to heavy constructionAbility to multitask and respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequencesAbility to prioritize projects for best results and meet deadlines successfullyStrong communication skills with all levels of managementMust be able to lift and/or move items of 50 lbs or more on a periodic basisMust be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a periodic basisOR any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.RITALKA OverviewWhen it comes to recruiting, many companies focus on an applicant's faults - what doesn't fit, what experience they don't have, etc. Our philosophy is different in that we are actively looking for a reason to hire someone.
