Senior Frontend Engineer, Community Builders Remote – United States Reddit is a community of communities. We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team. You'll be a key contributor to building and enhancing our products, developing features from end to end, and ensuring our systems are scalable, reliable, and serve community builder needs. This role requires a passion for tackling complex challenges in a fast paced nimble environment. What You’ll Do Design, develop, and maintain user facing product features while ensuring performance, security, and scalability of our systems. Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, data scientists and other engineers to deliver high-quality products. Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks. Set and define standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development. Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities. Who You Might Be A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field, or equivalent experience. Experience with one or more front‑end web frameworks such as Lit, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular with experience with CSS. Experience with GraphQL, REST, Thrift basics, and the ability to design and implement maintainable APIs is a plus. Ability to take end‑to‑end ownership of projects, from initial design to deployment and maintenance. A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Entrepreneurial spirit. You are self‑directed, innovative, and biased towards action in fast‑paced environments. You love to build new things and thrive in ambiguity and can easily navigate failure. In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission.
