Responsibilities
  • Assist with system prototype development and build, as well as provide feedback to other teams in a timely manner, and effectively communicate solutions to relevant engineers
  • Design and perform iterative testing in a systematic manner to ensure systems meet specifications
  • Develop workflows for system calibration and data acquisition
  • Look for ways to improve system commissioning process for consistency and scalability
  • Be able to adapt and provide feedback quickly to changes in a prototype system with demanding deadlines
  • Be detail-oriented and diligent in documenting changes and notes as the product is developed.
  • Install finished product at customer sites and conduct site acceptance testing with customers present
  • Assist with customer demos and applications
Skills
  • Able to work independently to formulate and test hypotheses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a team environment
  • Excellent data analysis skills: ability analyze and manipulate large datasets quickly
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands
  • Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Materials Science)
  • Work experience/Master's/Ph.D. is a plus
  • Be able to travel domestically and internationally to assist with in-field installations (max expected percentage travel is 10%, but subject to change)
Additional Skills of Interest
  • Familiarity or experience with X-ray systems, specifically XRF is a strong plus
  • Experience in Python scripting is a strong plus
  • Experience with hardware control (motion control systems and automation/robotics) is a plus
  • Familiarity or experience with optics and microscopes is a plus
  • Understanding of semiconductor industry trends is a plus

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
