Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support alternate component qualification, electrical testing, and product implementation activities. The engineer will work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to evaluate alternate electrical components, develop qualification plans, perform testing, and support manufacturing implementation. Key Responsibilities Determine the best alternate electrical components based on existing part specifications and circuit applications. Evaluate whether PCB changes are required to support alternate components. Obtain quotations for alternate parts from suppliers. Consult with engineering and propose qualification test plans to the quality team for alternate components and PCB changes. Perform agreed‑upon electrical testing while coordinating testing activities with technicians and laboratory personnel. Adhere to Lutron safety protocols during testing. Review test results with engineering and quality teams and recommend next steps. Develop cutover plans, including Alpha, Beta, and Gamma build schedules. Work with operations to update product Bills of Materials (BOMs). Ensure manufacturing plants are informed of engineering changes. Collect feedback from manufacturing following implementation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 1–3+ years of experience in new product design or alternate part qualification. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and loads. Ability to read electrical schematics and understand circuit operation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with higher‑voltage circuits (120–277V) used to control lighting loads. General understanding of Altium (schematic and PCB design tool). Basic software skills in C#, Visual Basic, or Python.
