LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE INPATIENT

LVN Med-Surg/LTACH

Custom Healthcare Solutions is seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) with Med-Surg or LTACH experience for an exciting opportunity. Locations: Huntsville, Beaumont, Palestine/Tennessee, Beeville, Gatesville. This is a great opportunity for experienced LVNs looking for consistent 12-hour night shifts and the flexibility of an open-ended contract that is updated monthly.

LVN Med-Surg/LTACH Details:

• Setting: Corrections
• Shift: Days or Nights, may start as early as 4:30am
• Hours: 36/48 hour rotation
• Pay: $40/hour
• Contract: Open-ended; contracts are updated monthly
• Availability: Candidates must provide their availability each month

LVN Med-Surg/LTACH Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to the inmate population in a correctional healthcare setting
• Administer medications to inmates in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Assess and monitor patients and provide appropriate nursing interventions
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Respond to patients' healthcare needs and communicate changes in condition to the appropriate medical staff
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care
• Float to other units and facilities as needed

Floating & Diversion Requirements:

• Flexibility to float is a required part of this position.
• Nurses will be asked to float as needed to different units.
• Units requiring floating are generally located within 1030 minutes of each other.
• A nurse may be floated or diverted to another unit within a 50-mile radius of their assigned unit.
• In rare circumstances, a nurse may be transferred to another unit in the middle of a shift.

LVN Med-Surg/LTACH Requirements:

• Current, valid Texas LVN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg or LTACH experience
• IV Therapy Certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work in a correctional healthcare setting
• Correctional healthcare experience is highly preferred and will be considered a strong advantage.
• Willingness and ability to float or divert to other assigned units/facilities as required
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
