We welcome you to apply for our Occupational Therapist I position at Children's Colorado's Highlands Ranch Therapy Care (HRTC). HRTC is a fun, dynamic, multidisciplinary outpatient practice dedicated to providing exceptional, patient and family-centered care. In this role, you will:

* Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment services for patients referred for feeding and/or sensory processing support.

* Partner closely with families through ongoing consultation and education, using a collaborative, family-centered approach to care.

This position offers advancement opportunities (OT I to OT II or OT III) with continuing education, specialization, and participation in hospital initiatives and activities.The Occupational Therapist I provide occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment, follow up and documentation using general competencies for inpatients and/or outpatients referred to the OT department. Provides supervision for therapy aides/assistants and students with specific patients or tasks as appropriate. Provides continuous consultation and education to families. The Occupational Therapist I is an entry level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools, and other providers to ensure continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.
• Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames.
• Independently evaluates children from birth to 21 years of age, with a variety of diagnosis, in specialized programs, on inpatient and/or outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
• Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
• Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.
• Provides consultation and education to families.
• Treat children with a variety of diagnoses, and in specialized programs on inpatient and outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services. Seeks out appropriate mentoring/training and consults with relative Clinical Practice Specialist and/or assigned mentor for complex patient diagnoses.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $78,659.24 to $117,988.86
