Travel Med-Surg RN - 13-Week Night Shift

Position TNAA TotalMed RN is looking for a Med Surg RN for a 13‑week travel nursing assignment in Dothan, Alabama. Job Details Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician. Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families. Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients. Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions. Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment. Educate patients on surgical procedures. Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed. Requirements 1–2 years recent acute care experience required. ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications. Minimum 2 years nursing experience. RNs must be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds regularly, and may need to lift patients up to 50 pounds.
